Neek The Exotic, that’s a name I haven’t heard in a minute, but of course Doggie Diamonds would find him. Large Pro lets us know that he has a good amount of joints with Nas in the stash, and they are just waiting for a good time to release them. I wouldn’t mind if Nas and Large Pro came together for a full length project, or produce half of it alongside DJ Premier (wishful thinking, I know). Props to Doggie Diamonds for another dope interview.

My man DJ Osk is working on a brand new video mixtape titled Blendsploitation. The concept of the video mixtape is mixing 70′s blaxploitation films with timeless Hip Hop music. Nas gets the audio and visual treatment this week, and Sidney Poitier is also thrown into the visual mix for that added blaxploitation flavor. Expect to see a new episode next week featuring a Hip Hop favorite – Dead Prez. Enjoy and be educated.
Most of you east coasters are probably inside the house looking at the snow come down, so here is something to keep you occupied for an hour. While in Japan, Pete Rock and DJ Premier sat down to speak on some of their most memorable stories. Look for the Pete Rock vs. DJ Premier album coming next year. Props to DJ Premier blog.
RECONEYEZ Media had a chance to meet with DJ Neil Armstrong after his show at Thrill (Culture Club) to speak on how he met Jay Z, working with Adidas clothing, what headphones he prefers, and how he speaks with his hands rather than his mouth (as all DJ’s should).
Among other things, J. Cole speaks on wanting to do a complete album with Nas. That would be nice, but I would prefer the Nas and DJ Premier album to come out first. Speaking of Nas and DJ Premier, J. Cole also spits a few bars for Kev over the classic track, “New York State of Mind.” J. Cole’s debut album will be hitting stores next year.
