Quick story. When I was a student at the Scratch Academy in New York City, Grand Wizzard Theodore stopped by to perform for us students, and to speak on his music career. Watching Theodore get down on the 1′s and 2′s was a sight to see. He didn’t even have to come by the school, but he wanted to show us students what real DJ’ing is all about. And to hear his story on inventing the scratch is something I will always remember.
