Continuing with our Big Pun related posts, I thought I would post up the Big Pun section that DJ Unexpected put together on Look What I Found 6. Some of you diggers might know every sample Pun’s producers used, but for the new diggers out there, this is a treat. If you enjoy the section, you can purchase the whole CD HERE.
In 2009, The Fresh Air Fund’s Volunteer Host Family program, called Friendly Town, gave close to 5,000 New York City boys and girls, ages six to 18, free summer experiences in the country and the suburbs. Volunteer host families shared their friendship and homes up to two weeks or more in 13 Northeastern states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.
The Fresh Air Fund relies on donations to provide memorable summers to NYC children.
The Fresh Air Fund needs hosts for the summer of 2010.
More than 65% of all Fresh Air children are reinvited to stay with their host family, year after year.
Thanks to host families who open up their homes for a few weeks each summer, children growing up in New York City’s toughest neighborhoods have experienced the joys of Fresh Air experiences.
You can check out the official Fresh Air Fund (hosts) website HERE. Thanks to Sara for considering The Diggers Union to help such a great cause.
A representative from Team USA hit up The Diggers Union a couple days back and asking if we could show some support for the USA Olympic team in Vancouver.. of course we can! Make sure you check out the official Team USA website for all the latest information and results. The Winter Olympics start on Februrary 12th. Let’s go Team USA!

A lot of history at Baseline Recording Studios. It’s sad to see it go.
For the premiere episode of LTD Presents Conversations, we sat down with Just Blaze to discuss the history and closing of the legendary Baseline Recording studios.
There is no doubt that 50 Cent is one of the hottest artists of the last decade. Recently, i caught up with him to reflect on the best/worst moments of 2009.
We started on the best album, then we kinda got stuck on the ‘beef’ issue, specifically the Jay-z & Beans situation. I really wanted to get into this, but I ran out of time.
What do you think is the situation with Fif and Game the same as Beans and Jay-z?
I don’t think it is. You would have heard about Game one way or another via Dre. 50’s done so much damage to other artists, what he did to Ja Rule is actually historic. I dont think people are that concerned if someone attacks 50. Its his field, his speciality, its kinda what the people expect from him/comes with the package.
50 is like Genghis Khan when it comes to Beef, so when he got into it with Game, people were skeptical, some people still think it was all a publicity stunt.
Regardless, 50 is a unique artist. There wont be another story like his for a long time.
First of all we’d like to thank everyone who supported us for the “12 Days of X-Mas” series and everyone who has posted the leaks from Respect Earned over the past few months. JustNice & I have been working for the past 6 months to bring you Respect Earned and the time has finally arrived, so here is some info on our journey to this point as well some info on the mixtape.
In 2009, independent artists rarely get enough recognition in an ever growing world of commercially geared Hip-Hop. Talent and creativity often goes disregarded, leaving once promising careers as unrecognized potential. This time, Choze & JustNice have decided to team up, and take what is theirs in “Respect Earned.”
Choze is the leader of Portland based crew Neu Beginin, an Engineer and rapper, who stumbled out of the myspace music world and into the blogosphere earlier this year. Since, he’s done songs with Quest and has already been on sites like HipHopUpdate & XclusivesZone.Net. Meanwhile, Lancaster, Pennsylvania’s own, JustNice has been a ghostwriting for several artist over the past few 2 years as well as performing all around Pennsylvania.
For the past 6 months, Choze & JustNice have been hard at work creating the perfect project that will net them the respect they deserve. Along the way, they’ve found a crew of supporters in Sound Society, Hailmegatron & The Eargasm, who will be the official presenters of Respect Earned. Choze & JustNice’s Respect Earned also includes a host of familiar faces including TreaZon, ThreatZ, QuESt, Hannibal King, Brey Quick, Starr Spazzin, Ricky Jewelz, SugoiSounds and many more.
Follow Birdman along with Jay Sean & Mack Maine on the album release week of Priceless & All or Nothing. this video includes: Day 1 in NY going to different radio stations and doing live TV, also going to Pace University to talk to students, Day 2 going to New Orleans for his 15th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Giveaway & Day 3 cameo album release party featuring Lil Wayne.
One thing I like about the internet is you can have these types of vlogs showcasing what really goes into releasing an album. It’s not easy as just putting it into a store and hoping the people will buy it. I won’t like though, doing some many interviews in a given day and being asked the same type of questions in each interview would get to me after a while. Enjoy the video.
