Here is the final UGK post for our little UGK day over here at Diggers Union.  These scenes come from UGK DVD – Making of the Album.  This DVD was released right after the previous UGK album – Underground Kingz.  This is a great DVD, and has a lot of great information regarding UGK.  You can check the rest of the scenes after the jump.

J Period just re-released this mixtape classic on the internet, and with me being the hardcore Isley Brothers fan that I am, you know it was going on Diggers Union.  J Period remixes, reinvents and revists the Isley Brothers catalog, and gives a totally different perspective on how you should listen to the Isley’s.  This is definitely a great download and you should add this to your collection if you have not already.  Grab it after the jump.

A couple of weeks ago I uploaded a few scenes from the Justo DVD – The Mixtape Documentary.  Today I’m bringing a couple more scenes from this DVD focusing on The World Famous DJ Clue & The Drama King DJ Kayslay.  Both of them have definitely made their mark in the Mixtape game.  With all the classic mixtapes Tapemasta, S.O.UL, Brandan and I have been posting lately, it’s good for all of you to get the biographies on these mixtape giants.  Enjoy the videos.

We’re back with another edition of Martial Arts Mondays for all the diggers out there! This time, we’ll focus on the best (in my opinion) combination of Kung Fu and Chinese Horror films ever, “Spooky Encounters”.  Released in 1980 and directed by Samo Hung (Magnificent Butcher, Prodigal Son), it is a classic mixture of the 2 aforementioned genres and has yet to be surpassed, thus making it a fabulous addition to your collection. Continuing with another Game post, I ripped scenes from his 2004 DVD – The Documentary.  Wasn’t a bad DVD at all, it had some pretty good scenes through out, and I tried to rip the best and informative ones.  The four scenes I bring you talk about Game’s childhood, working with Dr. Dre, what it felt like to get shot, and remembering Eazy E.  Watch the rest of the videos after the jump. Enjoy.

The big homie Brandan over at Recognize The Real uploaded this Kayslay joint today, and you know I had to throw it up on here with the rest of the Kayslay classics.  This mixtape dropped in 2004 right when The Game just signed to G Unit Records.  The Game at the time had one hell of a buzz, and it was only continuing to grow.  I remember hearing Game for the first time on DJ Clue’s “Don’t Throw Rocks At The Throne”.  He had a freestyle alongside Faboulous, and I have to say Game ripped that track up.  I believe the Game freestyle on this Kayslay joint is over Big Punisher’s “Whatcha Gonna Do”, and of course you know Game actually HOSTED this joint from start to finish.  Like I said before, this is when mixtapes were really hosted by rappers.  Big shout out to Brandan for bringing this mixtape back out to the public. Grab it after the jump.

As I see the Phantom Empire has been making its rounds on the internet, I thought I would throw a curve ball and give you a different type of Styles P mixtape.  DJ Kayslay really didn’t do many best of mixtapes so consider this one a rarity.  Styles P linked up with Kayslay to give you a  53 track mixtape of that pure Styles P rawness.  You got all the classic Styles P verses and freestyles he did from the beginning of his career until 2002 (when this CD dropped).  As always, I ripped this mixtape exclusively for the site so if you other sites decide to post this on yours, please credit me (and Diggers Union).  You can grab the CD after the jump.

XXL Magazine released a DVD last year with one of their issues that gave us some great interviews with a few different rappers.  Today I’m bringing two of these interviews for your viewing pleasure.  First interview consists of 50 Cent alongside Hot Rod as they drive around NYC with 50 Cent dropping knowledge about the music business.  As I have personally met 50 Cent, 50 is always inspiring to listen to as he has been so successful throughout his music career.

The second interview deals with Saigon and Ice Cube, as Saigon links up with Ice Cube to do an interview.  Saigon asks about Ice Cube about Gangsta Rap, the history of NWA, and his future in acting.  Both interviews have some great gems in it, and I don’t think you will be disappointed.  Like we say over at Diggers Union, “Enjoy and be Educated”.
