Video: Visions of Visionaries with DJ Neil Armstrong

For our latest “Visions of Visionaries” we got together with acclaimed dj Neil Armstrong to talk about his passion for music, how it all got started, his work with Jay-Z and much more.

It’s always surprising to see for us from which background some artists actually come from. I mean who would have thought that once a chemical engineer will be spinning Hip Hop tunes for the inauguration of the first black President of the United States?!

Stop dreaming. It’s real!

Nardwuar and his bag of goodies catches up with Drake and 40 for another great interview. Who know Drake’s uncle was Willie Mitchell? Shout out to Nardwuar for always bringing the best interviews.

Video: DJ Rob Swift Interview with Brooklyn Bodega

Rob Swift is one cool DJ. I had the pleasure to meet him when I was attending the Scratch Academy in New York City. This man took time out of his day to teach everyone some things on the turntables and then proceeded to lay down a nice DJ set where I sat in amazement. Ha! Shout out to the homie Rob Swift.

Props to Crate Kings for the heads up on this interview. Much appreciated.

With so many parties out there, it’s impossible to be at them all. Thankfully, people have the smarts to record them and post them up for the ones who weren’t in attendance. DJ Hot Day blesses us with a party he did with the Disco Twins from July 10. If you don’t know about Hot Day & The Dream Team do your homework! Sorry but not track listing for this one.

Video: DJ Statik Selektah & Termanology Talk 1982 Album

For the ones who still purchase albums, Statik Selektah and Termanology will give you a bonus EP for free if you send a picture proving that you purchased the album. Not a bad incentive I must say. 1982 will be in stores and online on October 26.

Video: Fat Joe Performing Live at S.O.B.’s

To co-inside with his new release The Darkside, Fat Joe hit the stage at S.O.B.’s to perform in front of a sold out crowd. Rather than playing radio hits from his catalog, Fat Joe decided to hit the crowd with his underground joints like “Flow Joe” and “Success.” I’m happy to see Fat Joe going back to his older ways when it comes to his music. No more jumping into the pool with a blue mink on, Joe! Ha!

Props to Rap Radar for the footage.

Fashion: Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme “Brooklyn”

DJ and producer, Clark Kent, works his design skills for the Nike company once again on this latest Air Force 1 quickstrike. I have to say, Clark Kent has done some great Air Force 1 designs since working for Nike and I’m sure he will continue the trend with future releases. Price of the shoe goes for $235, and you can purchase over at OSneaker. Props to Hype Beast for the heads up.

DJ Eclipse took to his radio show to play some of the hottest Hip-Hop in the country today. Great thing about Eclipse is he doesn’t play the top 40 hits you hear on the radio every 5 minutes, but that rough and rugged Hip-Hop made for the streets. If you are looking to listen to a different type of Hip-Hop radio show then this is for you. Track listing and download link down bottom. Enjoy and be educated.
