Stars & Rockets

In the early/mid 90s we were resident DJs at ‘Night of the Living Dudes’, a London club night dedicated to film music and soundtracks. We showed groovy psych visuals, had big screen projections, fantastic live bands and a great selection of soundtrack grooves to keep the dancefloor moving! Here’s a selection of the kind of sets we played at the time, from out-and-out blaxploitation funk through obscure surf sounds and mental psych groovers to mellow moods and the just plain weird. In a good way. Some well known, some compiled, still plenty of vinyl-only nuggets for hardcore DJs and collectors! As always, all from dusty original vinyl picked up from everywhere from Paris, Texas to Paris, France. – Ed The E-Man
