Before artists were cheating YouTube for more video views, and labels engaged in buy backs for their own artists’ albums to inflate sales, one true way you knew a track was hot was how many people recorded it on their own tape decks. Well, Alpha Faktion is bringing those memories back with a vengeance in their latest video, “Truth, Lies & Audiotape.” Since “it’s hard to see the truth on the inside of your eyelids,” KrazeILLA The Monster and Azwun are here to open your mind to the pollution the spread by mainstream media. The revolution continues on their EP of the same title, dropping May 21st, which boasts guest features from the likes of Shabaam Sahdeeq and Skeezo, and includes production from Vherbal, Skammadix and 2Deep.

Directed by Donald Robinson Cole III, the video depicts both emcees swapping verses in front of various Manhattan backdrops as they declare their resolution to stop waiting for change and make it happen themselves. Love It Or Hate It is scheduled for an early third quarter 2013 release and is set to include guest appearances from label mate Mic Handz, Roc Marciano and Tha Rockness Monstah, among others. Let the trials of Innocent? vs. The People commence…
